I tried a similar brand from Lanio ( a local soda producer in Miami) called CoCo coconut soda. It tastes like carbonated coconut water, a bit bland, but not terrible. The best thing you should try with coconut sodas is to mix them with a pineapple soda (such as Junipa) its like a Pina Colada, I tried it myself and it was very enjoyable.

I would guess that if I wasn't married to a Vietnamese woman that cooks with CoCo Rico and another version called just "COCO" from Florida, I would maybe not purchased this soda on my own.
But after several family dinners and it being the only thing to drink a few times, it takes a getting used to....

it was pretty good ,the coconut flavor. i just drank a6-pack of coconuts. the flavor was very mellow, like to difficult to describe, not like coconuts in an almpnd joy bar, but mellow like if i was on a volcano in haiwaii.

The crack about 1935 reminds me of something that always amuses me about Martenilli's Sparkling Apple Cider. On the label they proudly proclaim that the cider has won gold medals, and indeed show images of the medals on the bottle itself. They neglect to prominently announce the dates in which the medals were won:

Sacramento- 1890
San Francisco- 1894
